Light Steel Frame

The first Light Steel Frame (LSF) systems for the UK market were developed in the 1980's and Apollo Offsite has been in the vanguard of this technology ever since. LSF has become an established form of construction and is extensively used for infill walling in multi-storey structures for both commercial and residential use.

More recently Apollo Offsite has worked with a number of down stream technology providers such as dry lining or cladding system manufacturers to tackle the challenges of acoustic performance, increasing durability and reducing weight.

We are currently working with a number of new suppliers developing innovative, diverse and more cost effective methods of assembling and constructing LSF. These include the development of adhesive solutions for field factories next to the job site to reduce transport costs and lead-time from design to erecting.
